I know that this is not meant to be funny. I can see that the guy doing the video is a totally nice guy. However this really brought a smile to my face.

I never realised people got so excited about what batteries come in the package... I have to wonder, though, if he's bought a laptop pedestal and now has a separate keyboard to avoid back pain, why didn't he get an iMac?

I have to wonder, though, if he's bought a laptop pedestal and now has a separate keyboard to avoid back pain, why didn't he get an iMac? I suspect the back pain came after the purchase of the lappy. I wonder if he takes as much joy out of everything he does? His pleasure was palpable, not a detail from the experience was lost to him. I would not want to post it on the internet but part of me wants to get that much pleasure from ordinary things too.

I got one. It is lovely. I don't recall if I have energisers! Will have a look in a mo.
The thing is, I haven't turned my keyboard off in weeks. I just use it when I want to, and it's there and working straight away. The mac mini gets switched off from time to time, but both this keyboard and the magic mouse generally just sit there waiting for it to come back.
The one thing I've had to get used to is the F-keys, which double-up with other functions like sound volume and other audio controls, and default to those controls; not the F function, for which you actually have to press the Fn key. This is not specific to Apple, interestingly. I got my mother a Dell laptop for xmas (I Know, we'll get there eventually) but the F-keys on that also have other functions - which work in exactly the same way - other usage by default. I'm always pressing F2 to edit something, and end up turning off the wifi!
Nice little keyboard though.

The keyboard only needs 2 though; not 3 as there was in the video.

It must have been white surely? Now I have another mystery how many cells does it take? The instruction book showed three and he had three but millstone says two. This game is afoot.

White. Definitely white. (Though it may be difficult to see from the attachment.) Quiz: Can you identify the monitor and the mouse mat from this image?!

Ooh, there must be more than one model. I bet Mr "Orphus" would get very excited about that.
