I just saw an advert on tv. Starcraft 2 for PC and Mac. I have never heard Mac mentioned on a games advert before.

Probably because they are getting more popular. I don't like this, really. It only means that soon we could need Antivrus on Macs. I never thought I'd see the day.

Unless OS X stops running on UNIX I can't see why anti-virus is likely to be needed. Phishing scams and trojans are a risk on OS X and always have been. There is no hiding from the " Irish Virus' either (or any similarly xenophobic infection).

I ran ClamXav yesterday and it flagged four spoofed domains! All were on my Imap server so no real problem, but the time is surely coming!

BtW, I'm posting this from an iPad in the Apple Store in Manchester. It feels strangely mainstream. I'm used to being a persecuted minority!

I like being the minority. I like being able to say: Me: "Yup, I see your problem there..." Person: "What's wrong then?" Me: "You're running Windows."

Ha, did you see the IT crowd? Spent all episode saying he's not a window cleaner, working up to the final gag. Excellent!

I just saw an advert on tv. Starcraft 2 for PC and Mac. I have never heard Mac mentioned on a games advert before. I think Starcraft was one of the first gaming companies to use Steam on the Mac, and they've now said that future games would be released simultaneously on both Mac and PC - because Steam is the platform they develop for, and Steam has now been implemented on the Mac.
