I notice that Apple have today released new Mac Pros. No one has even bothered to mention it here - or on the MacUser forum either. Adding ever more power (there are 12-core variants available) simply doesn't set the pulse racing any more. I used to have a PowerMac (8600) when a pro machine was absolutely necessary to run Photoshop (anyone remember the Gaussian Blur coffee break?) but nowadays even a MacBook makes a pretty good hash at most things. Just as Apple seem to have lost interest in their Pro range, so do I!

^I don't care for the Pros too much. An iMac suits my needs well enough - Audio and film editing are the most demanding things I do, and it's a pretty basic level with iMovie HD and GarageBand 08.
Also, I bought an iMac because I have very little space, so another hulking box like a clunky old PC would be too much of a space waster.
