Hi all, Tim here, from Bath. Long time Mac user (since 1984/5 I think). Long time British Mac listener too, though can't remember when I started listening I'm afraid. Work involves building and hosting marketing databases and my main relief from that is paragliding - google "flyaszent".

Hi All, I've been a long time listener to the British Mac podcast but I'm late to the forums. I'm a Windows developer by trade with 25+ years in the industry, and now I'm now trying to make the move over to iPhone, iPod and Mac development. It seems more interesting and more elegant at the code level compared to .Net. You'd be amazed at the hoops you have to jump though in .Net to get it to something which with XCode you can do with a few mouse clicks. My journey from the dark side into the light started in 2004 when I bought an 4th gen iPod. A few years later when I needed a new laptop I decided on a 15" MacBook Pro as it was one of the few laptops out at the time with the new Core 2 Duo processors and actually worked out cheaper than a Sony Viao with a similar spec. Having never used a Mac before I'd intended scrubbing Mac OSX and dual booting between Windows and Linux but after playing around with Leopard for a few weeks I scrapped that idea. Since then I've had each of the first 3 iPhones, a iPod Nano, an Airport Extreme, both versions of the AppleTV, the original iPad and I bought a top-spec 27" iMac just before Christmas to replace the ageing MacBook Pro. I'm desperately trying to resist the temptation of an 11" MacBook Air and fear I may soon succumb Thanks for the shows Will. I'll keep listening and promise to become a plus member soon honest. See you on the forums, Richard

Put a search party out for Super Will. Apparently he's been seen in the local Bernie Inn, eating Steak and Supping bo jolly. Come on Will how about a Podcast. I am suffering from Podcast withdrawal with listening to the American drawl of your competitors.

Hello, I'm David Wayland Wayland. I converted from Windows to Mac 5 years ago, and have been a subscriber and keen listener to the pod cast for the last few years. I work with software (Windows based) for a job but to be honest I'm more of an application person than a nuts and bolts type. I have finally joined this forum as my 5 year old Imac is slowing down (Some thing that I'm very impressed with as my Old Windows machine would only last about 1 year before I wanted to throw it out of the window) so I'm after advice from the forum. Looking forward to being a member of the forum and getting many more podcasts. Long live British Mac! Cheers David

Hi David. Welcome to the Pussy Cat Club. Yeah, my iMacs have tended to let four or five years… which can actually be a bit annoying when you really want to buys new shiny one and can't justify it after three years! Hope we can all help. cheers - BB

Hi All, My name is Paul and I've been a long time listener of British Mac and Look forward to every new show. I've been messing around with computers for years, but finally found the right side in 2007 when I purchased my first MacBook from my local Apple store. Since then I have moved on to a MacBook Pro and filled it with ram and an SSD and I Love it I use my mac for all sort of things, Photo editing, Home Server Admin, Virtualisation and occasional web development. Oh well I've rambled on long enough, looking forward the Meetup in December, keep up with the fantastic podcast Will. Cheers Paul. PS Will my Wife is still star struck after driving you to the train station after the British Tech Bash

Hello there eveyone. I thought it was about time I came on and introduced myself. I have been using Macs now for just about 2 years and I have a much loved Macbook white. Also I have an iPhone 4s that goes with me everywhere. In recent times I have become a fan of the British Mac podcast and I would like to thank Will for all of the hard work he puts into it. My little boy is also a British Mac fan and is definitely a geek in the making. His favourite podcast is British Mac and he uses it to go to sleep at night. We are both fans of Will (and of Mr Cat). Hopefully there will be many more episodes of British Mac to come. Best wishes to you you all. Mac Girl.
