Oooh Oooh Ooooh Ooooh I’m the obsessor Holding your hand Seems you have forgotten About your man Alone in the darkness My bed’s a different land Your touch intensifies And I’m in the Quicksand I’m in the Quicksand I’m in the Quicksand

Thanks for pointing me in the direction of Buckethead Alex ! Loving it.... I LOVE Buckethead. He's my absolute favourite, and he's an incredible guitarist and he covers countless different styles and genres. What kind of stuff do you like? I can almost guarantee he has done some stuff in the style you like, whatever it is. Also, if you want any info on him, about his CDs, music or where to buy, I can help. I am pretty obsessed. A tip: Don't ever buy his stuff off eBay. But please don't ask about him unmasked. I have avoided it and don't need to see what he actually looks like, I respect his privacy.

I listen to wide variety of stuff ( though not much if any contemporary ). Mostly things like Genesis, Floyd, Tangerine Dream, Mike Oldfield, so guitarist stuff ( Hackett, Hillage ) is right down my street.
See what you mean about Buckethead being varied, seems to range right across the board from Bluesy to flat out metal and all in between. Have only listened to a few tracks so far ( will get some stuff on the iPod for this weeks commute tonight ! )
Cheers

If you can, please buy his music direct from TDRSMusic.com. It's a small record label he's on, and most of the money will go straight to him rather than some geezer on Amazon. There is also a download store there as well if you prefer those, and you can get the songs in lossless FLAC as well as MP3. tdrsmusic.com

Stuart Maconie's Freak Zone on 6Music. I think he said the track was "Free Save" by Roy Lowe, but Shazaam can't tag it, so I'll have to wait until his track list comes out
