Needing a easy way of listening around the house to audio books and music stored on my iMac and iPad I decided to buy an AirPlay loudspeaker. After some on-line research I purchased a Logitech Mini BoomBox (£60 delivered from Comet).
This device really does match up to the excellent reviews, it is tiny (about 4.5" wide by 2.5" wide and 2.5" high) quickly pairs with the iMac and iPod via bluetooth, and is powered by built-in rechargeable battery. Battery life is stated to be about 10hours and the sound is surprisingly good.
I have no connection with Logitech apart from being a satisfied customer but can heartily recommend this little device.

I like Logitech. I like my Z4 system tied to my iMac.
Interest in what you've got but wanted to check how much better the quality really is (especially for spoken word) compared to just using your iPhone? Certainly the 4S speaker is pretty effective.
Also, what sort of range are you getting on it?

I particularly wanted to use it for listening to audible books and find the sound quality is genuinely excellent. Regret I don't have an iPhone so can't compare but can only say it sounds much better than I dreamed to expect. So far have only used it within 3 rooms on the ground floor never more than about 25 feet apart but no problem. When (?) the weather brightens up a bit I will take it outside and check the range outside. By the way, as an unexpected bonus it can also be used as a hands free phone device, there is a built-in microphone. I haven't tried this feature.

I have taken it outside the house and it works at about 10metres from the iMac, in a straight line unobstructed by other than windows, moving away from that clear path it soon stops working. I have just done a walk into every nook and cranny of our 1987 built house and it works everywhere. Just a slight momentary drop-out as I walked upstairs, but if I stood still the connection immediately restored.
Sorry Mr Cat if this will cost you money, but you won't regret it!

Sorry Mr Cat if this will cost you money, but you won't regret it! If I do I am going to come round your house and scrat up your roses (and maybe spray on your doorstep). M. le Chatp.s. just ordered it.

Just a quick update. Yesterday I wanted to listen without headphones to a radio play residing on my iPod (no bluetooth there) so connected to the Boombox by cable (3.5mm plug either end) and it too worked perfectly. I remain delighted by this little device. The battery seems to last for ages, it has never run out on me but I just try to remember to charge it occasionally.
