Hi All, I have an iMac 17" core2Duo (2006 model), and can't afford to replace at the mo. The problem I have is, the hard drive is dead, and the screen has lines running vertically up it (about 11 now) I am running the OS from an external USB drive, but is this something that can be repaired? Does anyone know a good place to get this done, or is it simply 'off to the Apple Store with you!)
I really love my Mac, and don't want to see it binned just yet.

Will Green: I'm really looking forward to iOS 13, at the moment the iPad hardware is way ahead of the OS. My MacBook Pro was accidentally broken, so when going on business or interviews I take my iPad. The files app seems very clumsy as it is.
