I have no idea what it will be, but I can say with 100% certainty that I will end up buying one. This seems to happen every time ;-)

So, shopping list.
AppleTV. iPhoto. Will have to think about the New iPad, not sure the enhancements are enough to make me rush out and buy one today......
Who I am kidding, I bet I end up pre-ordering one before the weekend.......

Not sure that I see the point of the improvements to iPad HD camera? (device seems to large for the camera to get much use) HD screen? (Ok I guess, but the existing iPad 2 screen was far from poor. Will my eyes be able to see the difference?) 4G connection (Not in the uk for a while) Thicker and heavier - Hmm What I would have wanted is same design as the old one but better battery life and more on-board memory. Maybe a shade lighter too. A price drop would have been the icing on the cake.

I would agree with all your points above if you have an iPad 2.
I'm still using my iPad 1 so there are many reasons to upgrade.
I didn't upgrade to the iPad 2 because I wasn't fussed on having a camera.

Well, what can I say? I was wrong. After some though I decided I dont really need either. AppleTV not much of an upgrade from my current one, and the new UI downloaded to it the same evening. Same with the iPad not really a big upgrade from the iPad 2, sure the screen resolution is impressive but I am not sure at this point if thats enough. I never use the camera on my iPad 2. Maybe I will change my mind once I see the new one running some software that really takes advantage of the screen. I think I will save my money for now........

Well, what can I say? I was wrong.. The iPad (even iPad v 1) is a wonderful piece of kit. They got it right from the start. The newer versions keep it ahead of the competition as far as the tech specs go but in terms of functionality it was great from the get go. As I said a little bit thinner and lighter would be nice so that when used as an E-reader it is less tiring to hold but we did not get that. The improvements are impressive for sure but the product is no more compelling than it was to this whiskery dude. :-)

the iPad 3 will still be lighter and thinner than my 1st gen.
Another reason for the upgrade is there are quite a few apps that struggle to run on the 1st gen.
My delivery has been bumped to 3rd April, not impressed, i ordered at half past midnight on launch day

Oops, looks like I was right after all. I went into Pc world in Newbury and came out with this shiny new iPad.
I got the 64gb 4g one, must admit to being very impressed with the screen resolution. I wish they would get rid of the daft download limit from the store. I get 15gb data every month so I dont understand why there is the limit!
