Anyone recommend a good source of Fire Wire Hard drives that don't cost an arm and a leg? I want to instal Super Duper. I ordered an £85 ( with delivery etc) drive off uk-computers.co.uk but they cancelled the order as the drive was "out of stock" didn't offer an alternative even. Pretty crappy service really. So, any ideas please?

I'd steer away from Western Digital - OK for USB but I've had problems with Firewire. Cancom are also doing a 1Tb Lacie for £93

I've bought LaCie and Western Digitial recently from Amazon. No problems with either. I've also used Dabs before - bought a Seagate from them - but that has trouble with Firewire. Tim

I bought a Buffalo Drivestation Combo 1TB External Hard Drive Turbo USB & FireWire from ebuyer about a year ago for £80. It's been pretty good. I've always found ebuyer to be pretty good. They don't do the same model anymore, but you might be able to find something on there. It's always the first place I go when I'm looking for anything for computers. www.ebuyer.com/Hope that helps Rich

Check out “Scan” computers in Bolton, I have 2 X 1TB FW 400/800Lacie external drives always buy from them, although I have a spare drive caddy brought from Maplins FW 400, i think it cost about £25-£30.
