Some rumours floating around that Apple could be producing an iPod Touch with 3G support. As this would make it identical to an iPhone would it make sense for Apple to re-brand the iPod Touch as an iPad Nano? Sales of the classic iPods have been dropping, and you can't make phone calls with the 3G iPad, so selling a 3G iPod Touch without the ability to make calls wouldn't be unprecedented.

Interesting point. It wouldn't make it identical to an iPhone though. As you go on to say yourself it will only be data access. I wonder if people will get all confused, but iPad Nano, I like it.

I need to get a new iPod before the Classic stops being made. That's the only one for me.
If I can't get one I'll have to just move to a non-Apple device for my MP3s. I only have a 30GB iPod Video but need to constantly switch artists on it because my library is a good few GB more than 30GB.
