Ah! Were you anticipating that "Apple" smell that you get when you open the box?

Well has finally arrived!
You may not be surprised that I am absolutely delighted! Having spent the evening setting it up I am really glad I went for the 11" version. The keyboard is delightful and there is plenty of screen space for my needs, this is of course helped by the crystal clear display. Setting up the basics was dead easy and very quick but transferring stuff from my iMac using Migration Assistant took over an hour. I still have some work to do moving bookmarks and keychain. iCloud doesn't seem to help much.
My final advice to anyone thinking of getting a new laptop - get a 11" MacBookAir, you will not regret it.

I should have added that the transfer of data was wireless. Although the MacBook air has a Thunderbolt port, I don't have the requisite lead.

It is a little beaut. The high resolution of the screen does mean that there is enough space for most peoples needs. I love mine.

One more thing! You may be interested in the excellent carry case I bought from Amazon; Tech Air 11.6", excellent value at £9.99 delivered, but I have just noticed that it has been reduced to £8.22 It fits perfectly, has two side pockets, handles and a detachable shoulder strap.
I'm glad I bought it just for safe storage around the house.
