This video from Microsoft has nearly convinced me. No more hesitating SP1 looks great.

Now I know it is not nice to laugh at the expense of other people but when the advertisements for their products are THIS bad they deserve all they get.
Microsoft have a $300M campaign running. The first two advertisments got panned so badly they have had to drop them. Lest we forget here they are.
Advert 1 ---- Sep 2008
Advert 2 ---- Sep 2008

300 million on those ads - jeez, money to burn! They are cringe worthy.

Gosh, how is this going to help Microsoft? The message will be clear to everyone going in to the store Microsoft are worried because they are losing customers to OS X. I can't see how putting confessional booths outside the Apple cathedral will do other than boost sales for Apple.

The new PC ad. made me think. MS have done an extension of the personification of computing. So your PC has the following attributes according to the advertisement. It is called Rodger, has a beard and wears glasses, is not what you call "hip", sells fish and is well "kind of scared". If I was thinking of buying one I think I prefer Apples portrayal as a great business machine over Microsoft's version of personalisation.

Our daughter started school this year (she's 5). She talks about her teacher and says she's a PC - not like you dad, you're a mac

She talks about her teacher and says she's a PC LMAO at this. So did she give a reason? Was it because she can run really fast? Or was it that she tends to get viruses and crashes a lot? ;D

She picked it up from the I'm a Mac, I'm PC adverts. I feel a tad guilty that she appears to be somewhat brainwashed! No reason given though - just stated as fact. It's funny watching her use the mac though - the two finger scroll etc. seems to be intuitive, even at that age. I'm pretty sure she's way more comfortable than her PC grandparents would be using it ..... although Spaces sometimes sends her into blind panic

have you seen the youtube video where there is a pc and a mac and the pc guy is separating the money for ads and the money for fixing vista, well we can see how that money is split.
