This may be old news to people, but I also figure that it may not.
Do not buy your AppleCare from Apple!
I just picked up AppleCare for my Mac Pro from eBay for £60 compared to the Apple Store price of £199. I've registered it, it's genuine.
There's no downside of doing this, it's full worldwide cover and you can save an absolute fortune.

Well, not sure what details you could want - Just search for AppleCare on eBay and look for the international sellers. Here's the one that I bought.. Also got one for my TV for a tenner

Having looked into it a bit that really does look like a bargain. Not that savings of quite that size are that common. You seem to have done particularly well there.
I wonder where these have come from? Bankrupt stock maybe?
