Why have Apple decreed that no porn applications should appear on the iPhone? Porn has powered the internet since the beginning. Having an internet device without porn is like having a television without the ability to tune in to the BBC. Now I doubt anyone here has ever visited a porn site but I just wondered if you have views on if leaving porn off the iPhone was a good decision or not. Cat

There's plenty of porn on the iPhone, easily accessible through Safari.

There's plenty of porn on the iPhone, easily accessible through Safari. Putting aside the fact that the iPhone does not support Flash that is all the more reason to say why ban it from the App. Store?

Have a look at all Apple's iLife marketting. It's all wholesome pictures of family fun; snowboarding, swimming, birthday parties etc. Can you really see them wanting some smutty pictures on their site?
That aside, porn is just images and video. Why would that need a dedicated app?

That aside, porn is just images and video. Why would that need a dedicated app? I can think of lots of applications that might sell. Strip poker Truth or Dare X Ray spex Or specialist applications like tickle the kitty
