I applaud the effort involved, but I had to stop reading after page three because my spelling and grammar ADD began to kick in. If I'm picking up errors, I don't enjoy what I'm reading.
I freely admit I'm a pedant, and I have worked in the design and print industry for 20 years. I was trained to proof read by an ex-Fleet Street reader, and he was a real stickler.
Will, if you want someone to proof and correct the text before you publish next time, I'm tempted to volunteer. Can't make any promises, mind.

Hi Heather, that would be great. The first few pages are all written by myself and I'm terrible at spelling and at grammar, so skip past the news and onto the other articles which are written by other folk and you'll find it dramatically improves!

Heh. I just noticed my own spelling mistook in my earlier post! I will persevere into the magazine. I think it's a worthy effort, and kudos to all involved.

Hi Heather! Personally, I would love to know what I got wrong so I can correct myself in the future. Please, if you find anything wrong in my article post it or e-mail me. It will only help and educate! Thanks. Wayne

Personally, I would love to know what I got wrong so I can correct myself in the future. I think your articles were okay. It's Will's apostrophobia and occasional grammatical lapses that set me off.

Well...Great to see that the mag follows in the footsteps of the podcast! Eccentric to the end in all its wonderfulness! I don't think we should get too hung up on punctuation or layout or any of the things that usually take precedence to the cost of good content.
Nice one fellas! Looking forward to the next one...spose that means I'll have to subscribe!
I did wonder why something called 'British Mac' was quoting $ & € prices mind you lol.
Keep up the good work fellas
Derek

I can't answer for Will, but I do know that he changed the server settings for a number of his domain names (he seems to be a bit of a compulsive collector of domain names) a while back so they would all redirect to BritishMac.com in preparation for him going full time with British Mac. I'm not too sure what his plans are for the britishmacmagagazine.com domain (or the britishmac.com website for that matter) - I just advise and tweak stuff if / when asked.
I've only got access to the BritishMac.com server (not the BritishMacMagazine.com one), but can confirm that the pdf copy of magazine number 1 hasn't been placed anywhere on BritishMac.com as of today. If I can find a copy on any of my computer's hard drives I'll post it somewhere online as a temporary measure - but I'll wait a couple of days before doing this to give Will a chance to reply to your post / my emails.
Hope this helps, Darryl (semi-official part-time tinkerer, tweaker, librarian and archivist to British Mac)

Cheers Daryl. It would be interesting to see what the magazine looked like, even if it is a couple of years out of date. The magazine was posted around the time I bought my mac, so would maybe have some relevance to me.
