I'm sure some of you out there are keen radio listeners. Personally, I grew up with Radio (particularly The Archers) as we never (and still don't) have a television at home. I'd like to point you to my site. I know this may seem like a bit of self promotion but I genuinely hope people will find the website useful www.bbcstreams.com. On the site I've listed all of the BBC's National Radio stations streaming URL's (basically the "stream" from the radio put out onto the internet). Not only that, but I've included a really simple tutorial on how to listen to BBC Radio on your iPhone, the application in question is FStream ( www.sourcemac.com), the tutorial doesn't scratch the surface of what FStream can do, such as recording the radio stream onto the iPhone so that you can listen to your favourite show when out of range of a mobile signal. I'm hoping to add more to the tutorial and I'd be interested in getting all your feedback through this forum or by emailing me ( williamtildesley@me.com). Hope you enjoy. -William

Thanks William, the one thing missing (well, not the only thing, but you know what I mean) from the iPhone is a tuner so I can listen to John Humphreys shouting in the morning and Stuart Maconie being weird on a Sunday afternoon. This is a very helpful tip.

I agree with Tim - a good app addressing a missing tuner on the iPhone. In fact, other mobiles that have radios can usually only get FM, whereas with this you can get AM. Useful if you want to listen to 5 Live sport, for instance.
I have a question which I'll probably find the answer to on Monday when I go back to work and try listening to the radio on my bike. But maybe someone knows now...Will the FStream app still work when you're not on a wifi or 3G network, i.e. when you drop down to 2G?
Another comment is that it says on the website that sometimes the app doesn't work when you're abroad (thinking only of BBC radio). If you've got access to a VPN this usually works - certainly that's how I watch BBC when abroad.

We have pretty awful 3G reception where I live and I seem to be able to get reception when I walk down the street, although the stream does hesitate occasionally.

Thanks! Looks like I've now a fully portable radio on my iPhone!
