Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers Gav I am looking into this stuff for the first time, I may have it wrong so bear with me. As I understand it DVD is a compressed format. It has to be decompressed by the device that it is played on before it can be displayed. After it has been decompressed you can then recompress it into another format if you like. Handbrake does allow you to store your dvd output in 100% quality. However because of the above the file that you store will be massively larger than the file stored on the original DVD. They don't recommend that you do this. What I am going to do is copy a couple of DVDs at the recommended settings and then compare them to the original on my best and largest television. If I can spot a difference I will see what can be done about it. There is a extensive Handbrake forum where issues such as this are discussed. I have not spent much time there yet but here is the link. Handbrake forumThere is also a large FAQ Handbrake WikiHope this helps. Cat

A question of my own.
Can ATV play a dvd that is in the drive of one of the computers on the network?

A shame, I wonder if they might add that feature in a software update. It would be one that I would use. Anyway, I am sold on the idea now of getting an ATV. Probably my next Apple buy after my iPhone.
