Would apple ever make a conventional netbook?
Personally i would be much more interested in a kind of oversized iphone/itouch, maybe 8/10 inch screen, running some form of os x like the iphone but more advanced.
This would be the kind of device like netbooks for general surfing, word processing etc. Even if they had the power, would anyone really wanna actually run say, photoshop or imovie on this kind of device?
- i admit, it sounds cool, but for day to day practicality, it could be a nightmare to work on. Maybe they could make cut down versions for basic editing features...

I just installed Photoshop CS4 on it, it runs surprisingly well. I only tried some simple stuff like adjusting hue and saturation, doing some recolouring and playing around with a paint brush but it wasn't slow, it worked and it was certainly usable.
The only real limitation was the screen size.

The only real limitation was the screen size. I guess there is no way round that one. I can see where Apple are coming from on this, but if you are happy with your creation I guess that is all that matters.

i liked Leo Laporte's quote on his experience of running OSX on an MIS Wind "it worked great it just made me feel dirty".
