I've had a problem with my ISP recently - my downloads have apparently clocked up ten times the normal volume, so I've blown my download limit and my monthly bill has nearly doubled.
My usage hasn't changed, so my only thought is (assuming their figures are correct) I must have some malware buried within my Belkin router. It's not on the Mac, because I've got XRG running all the time, and I can see when the line usage goes up - and it hasn't gone up.
So I downloaded a trial version of ProMacMeter, which claims to track all your I/O. And no, I didn't think it would be able to capture router side malfeasance, but it was worth a look, anyway.
I couldn't get the damn thing to work. Either it reported zero bytes transferred, or it simply hung, giving me the beachball until I forced it to quit. I then spent an hour carefully reading the manual (we all do that afterwards, right?) but couldn't find anything to help. I logged in to their Support web site, and Lo and Behold, only two entries there, but they were within the last week and neither of them could get the thing to work either.
I was going to add a further comment but they wanted me to register, and I'm very careful about who I give my name and address to, so I've decided it would have been a bad deal.
Just a warning to anyone else. At least they provided a half-hour trial download (!).

Will Green: I'm really looking forward to iOS 13, at the moment the iPad hardware is way ahead of the OS. My MacBook Pro was accidentally broken, so when going on business or interviews I take my iPad. The files app seems very clumsy as it is.
