Some people are worried about scratching the screen (or doing worse damage) to their iPad. Others have been horrified to find scratches from the word go. The latter turn out to be star trails on the time exposure photo used by Apple as the default home page wall paper (phew!). I came across an interesting video at; www.pcworld.com/article/193371/ipad_stress_tests_buy_a_case_and_dont_drop_it.htmlThis shows that the iPad can easily withstand attempts to scratch the screen with a nail (not a finger nail, a genuine looking builders nail). However is does not like being washed under running water or being thrown down down on to concrete. So be warned.

I think I posted a video like this about the iPhone... It survived being ground against gravel, keys scratched over the screen, dropped from multiple heights and being sat on. The screen had zero marks at all, only the case was scratched.

My cat organized a drop test for my iPad today. She managed to knock it off a table about 18" from the carpeted floor. I like to think that thanks to my excellent TeckNet leather case (No connection, other than being a satisfied customer), no damage was sustained. I am really glad I have that case.
