I think I'll be keeping iTunes 9 for now. I don't like the button layout either, the top left window buttons are vertical and I don't like it. And I want to avoid Ping. And I dislike the new logo massively.

And I dislike the new logo massively. I like the new look and feel - bit more 'spacious' somehow - just don't sign up for Ping - agree on the new logo though - that sucks

^The old logo is iTunes! It would be like McDonald's suddenly deciding to stop using the Golden Arches. Also I don't like how the disc is gone... In three or four more iTuneses I forsee a lack of CD import support. That will be a dark day.

^I can't download it yet. I just checked in Software Update and nothing came up. Are you sure TM didn't work? When it went to iTunes 9.2 my Last.fm stopped Scrobbling so I got 9.1 back until they patched it. I just Time Machine'd back about a week and double clicked the iTunes logo in the Applications folder.

What if you TM back and get last week's iTunes Library file (.itl), bring that back along with the old 9.2 version of iTunes. Maybe?

I find it's rather… colorless!

Yes, the colours are a bit flat/muted. After a couple of hours usage though I find that I like the new under-stated UI.
I also *very* much like the new Icon. It is now much more distinguishable from other similarly coloured Apps in the Dock. It stands out well.

I quite like the new logo, now I've got used to it. Really surprised they've kept an audio theme though - no reflection of photo, podcasts ... and video in particular.
I notice that it now indicates which stage of sync it's performing when you plug in a device.
Also quite like the device-specific icons when they're docked. Are they new? Can't say I've noticed before.
