I think that in the next few weeks I could be getting a new iPhone - My first one! ;D I think it will be on 3, as they have the best deal and the cheapest contract+phone starter. I have a question: With 3, I think I get 1GB of 3G internet. Is this enough should I want to use it for browsing, Evernoting, watching a few YouTube videos each day and downloading a few podcasts? 1GB seems like a tiny amount for a whole month...

Alex,
1GB is a paltry amount for a month, especially if you are streaming video.
Unfortunately O2 cancelled their unlimited data plan in June, so most of the telco's now have a 1GB limit so most of the iphone users I know use WiFi wherever possible!

WiFi on that tariff is 3GB, which I can't understand really, because it's not like it's affecting a phone network. I think it's ridiculous. It's almost 2011 and we still have to pay extortionate amounts of money to be able to have access to possibly one of the most important factors of modern living: The Internet.

Unfortunately, now that unlimited data has been stopped everywhere, 1GB is the highest any network will go, which sucks. Orange only do 750MB and still charge £30 a month!
