This forum seems to have gone very quiet indeed. What's going on?? I'm just ridiculously busy at the mo'! everybody seems to have had enough of cutting costs and have decided to get on with stuff! Gutted about Will's robbery and feeling guilty I didn't say anything as it's a common pattern that robbers wait until you get the insurance replacements and strike again…. Methinks some time lapse infrared is in order….. anybody know what they're doing in that department? I bought an Apple TV at last since my bandwidth is getting upgraded to the 21CN network. Lovely piece of kit. Haven't been listening to podcasts as have been addicted to Audible….. Hope everyone is good. Love to the puppy Will! May he grow up to bite robbers in the arse!

Nice weather. Less time sat in front of a screen I would say. In my case I have been doing a LOT of tango recently and it is eating the time up.

Argentine or the other sort? I was going to say 'classic' but that doesn't seem right as 'normal' tango is derived from the Argentine I really miss it but this ol' back of mine etc etc

Well both sorts really. I am a long time ballroom dancer and I refer to the "other one" as "ballroom tango". It is Argentine tango that has got me going at the moment. I must have put in close to 10 hours this week. Too much really as it is getting in the way of other stuff. p.s. I sort out bad backs for a living. Just sayin'

Herniated disc... Had a discectomy a wee while ago. Been doing Pilates and getting my core up to strength. Still got some scar tissue issues. May get back to it when the missus is recovered from her radiotherapy and back to it when she's back to fitness. We'll just have to try it.
In the meantime that's a good combination as I guess you'll get some customers as well!!

Funny that. I was just having a bit of a rant about the use of the word "core". As far as I know humans don't have a core. So not sure how one can strengthen it. Never found anyone who could explain to me what is meant by the word. Not many customers from Tango. Plenty from the running club though.

Seen yesterday on a walk - on the information plaque at the ruins of Waverley Abbey…
"The abbey was suppressed by King Henry VIII in 1536" my emphasis
what a very polite way to describe what was probably a slaughter of monks and burning of buildings

It appears that it was (according to Wikipedia) a very civilised process indeed! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dissolution_of_the_Monasteries

How on earth did they manage all that without the Internet?

Has anyone else seen "What's Up Tiger Lilly" by Woody Allen or did I hallucinate it?

Why do folk bother with car and house alarms? They go off and they're just ignored. There's a house alarm twittering away a couple of streets away. It comes out every summer, regular as clockwork. As soon as the sun comes out and we open the windows to let the air in, the bloomin' alarm goes off. I'm glad I don't live next door to it, or there would be trouble...
