What wedding?
Oh, that wedding!
No. I avoided it as much as I could. Caught the balcony bit and flypast, but otherwise I just avoided the whole circus as best I could - aside from following the bitchy comments on Twitter. =o)

I cared about it so much that I used the time to service the Discovery. I am happy because I managed to avoid watching the wedding and I am sure the Discovery is quite pleased with its shiny new oil.

I managed to avoid it pretty well. So well in fact, that I only knew it happened the day after when I went to work and saw it all over the newspapers.
I mean, I knew it was coming, but I thought it was in August or something. I avoid any news source as best I can. 99% of it I don't need to know and the rest is so depressing it's probably best I don't see it.

I wasn't planning to but I must admit I did watch most of it.
I did switch off for a while during the service in the abbey.
I do enjoy the ceremonial processions, i think we do this really well, and all those soldiers (and others) looked great.

I watched it. Enjoyed it. Drank Champagne. You know, for all the humbuggng it IS nice to hear that. Life is too short not to enjoy weddings and to drink Champagne (or my case a gratis espresso) :-)

I will paint you an image of the kind of people who I saw on the day of the wedding. I was walking down to the library at about 9;30 in the morning, in a street near me there were 4 men sat on deck chairs in the street. The chairs had an England flag on them, they had an England flag hanging out the window. They had a few 12-packs of Carling on the pavement next to them. I thought there must have been a football match on, which is another thing I wouldn't know about because I don't follow it. It looked like something out of This Is England. All of the men were skinheads.

My picture is a prettier one. I went to my local coffee shop. I had on a bow tie. The regulars had all come in to watch the event on the big screen. There were homemade flags and bunting. The girls had made an effort to look extra pretty. There was one little girl dressed up in a bridesmaids outfit. On my arrival I was give free espresso (my poison of choice) and after the service there were cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off. All good fun really.
