Anyone ordered one yet?
Anyone actually got one so far?
I'm looking forward to getting one. Alas nothing on the horizon yet.

I used to teach ICT in secondary schools, and the curriculum was boring for both myself and pupils (although I used to go off-piste as often as possible).
I was really excited to hear about the reform to the ICT curriculum beginning this summer and I see the Raspberry Pi as a great example of Great Britain's pioneering brilliance and creativity in I.T. and part of our I.T. renaissance, empowering the young to learn coding and building for the future.
Shall I get off my soap box now! So where's mine?

It's fantastic. I've registered an interest so hopefully I can order one soon. I've been feeling extremely nostalgic for my ZX Spectrum days recently and think it's sad that kids are being trained to be users of products rather than masters of the tech itself. Hopefully this little piece of silicon joy and the new government ICT policy will change things for the better.
It's ironic that Apple's early creations were self assemble computers, whereas now they do all they can to isolate the user from any of the unseemly gubbins that make a machine tick. Obviously people are keen on devices which just work but if we're not careful, the knowledge, skill and understanding to code at a low level will be lost entirely. Who will create the devices that just work then?

I expressed interest at both RS components and Farnell. The latter have now said I'm in the queue and will receive one before the end of June. A notch nearer.

I have ordered one today from RS, they say delivery is 3 weeks, all I need now is a monitor.
Been looking for a second monitor for my mac for some time now, just can't find anything suitable

ooo. How did you do that? Website says waiting for the next delivery. Did I miss an ordering window? That's not good, as I registered interest weeks ago.

I registered at 06:45 on the day they released them.
Had an email from RS yesterday saying it was time to order, so i ordered straight away before they changed their minds

Ah, I'm with you. Slightly regretting my excesses of the evening before ordering day. I did set the alarm, but couldn't quite bring myself to get up!

;D I understand completly
Now me being me I don't like leaving things to chance, so when we were trying to register, i was trying at the same time as 100,000 other people and this was causing the website all sorts of trouble, so when I did get to register I registered twice with 2 different email addresses just to make sure.
So the upshot is that I have ordered 2, now I have kinda promised one to a guy at work, however i'm not sure he is 100% into it.
So I may have one to sell, now I'm not looking to profit from this and will only sell for what I paid for it.
So when it comes If I still have it available I will advise here.

That's generous Stewart. Thanks. I'm still hopeful that Farnell will come up with the goods for me.

It's arrived! Well done Farnell. (Still awaiting news from my secondary registration with RS components!)
Got debian running. My next comment may come from the Pi!
