just read this on the fantasy girls thread Easyee Peasey Film : Marvel's The Avengers, Character : Black Widow Actress : Scarlett Johansson Just before she beats up the blokes supposedly interrogating her That's right (of course) Just seen the film. What a sexy lady. Really HATED the 3D though. It may well be the last 3D film I ever inflict on myself. now this was my 1st 3D film and I really enjoyed it and it was better than I expected and I am now looking forward to the new spiderman in 3D just curious as to what Mr. C dislikes about 3D and what other people think.

I'm not a great fan. The early ones (of the current fad) always had some cheesy scene specifically constructed to exploit the 3D effect. It really grates on me. Avatar, I seem to remember, had someone putting a golf ball or some other such nonesense.
I suppose I still insist on seeing the 3D version if there's an option though!

I've never seen a 3D film. Then again, the last time I went to the cinema was Casino Royale... I prefer LoveFilm I saw a 3D TV in Currys though, had a demo of some fish around a coral and I was very impressed. Although, I don't want to sit in my house wearing glasses so I look like someone who wants to be Skrillex... I dislike that man. Yes, it is a man. PS, I'm still here, I lurk about but haven't been posting much!

just curious as to what Mr. C dislikes about 3D and what other people think. Oooh don't get me started. Too late you already have. Where do I start? [rant] 1) They charge more. Same seats, same screen, same everything, just more money. 2) Even more if you have to buy the spex. Bloody cheek charging for spex to watch an overpriced film. 3) One looks like a right charlie sat in those stupid spex too. Is it possible to look less cool? I doubt it. Cool for cats? I think not. 4) You look worse you look a right **** wearing spex on top of your spex. How crazy is that? 5) The spex are uncomfortable too. 6) Also you are wearing bloody sunglasses in the pitch blackness of the theatre. Can't see your bloody popcorn. 7) Sunglasses make the colours in the film look really dull and lifeless. Glorious technicolor? I think not. 8) The 3D is orientation sensitive. Rest your head on your kitten's shoulder and suddenly you are in a world of visual pain. 9) The 3D is usually really really poor. More like looking at a pop up book with several flat planes stacked one in front of the other. Not all the planes seem to be at the right distance either. 10) Processing the poor 3D gives me eye strain and headache. 11) The special effects guys get more say than they scrip writer. I remember an otherwise good version of A Christmas Carol being totally ruined for me by having Scrooge shrink and roll down a drainpipe. I mean WTF? All 3D films have far too many shots of this type in them. Totally spoiling the narative. 12) The minituration/giantifcation freaks me out a little. Because you are looking at someones head in 3D somehow it seems to me that I have been transported to the land of the giants. The reverse being true when watching on TV 3D? An overrated pile of guano [/rant]
