I'm thinking of getting an Apple TV and was wondering if anyone has got one. My main question is; Is it worth getting the 160GB model if you have an imac with all your itunes library on it?
Can you synchronize the Apple TV and iMAc iTune libraries?
Not sure if it's worth spending the extra £70 on the larger capacity

I've got an AppleTV and it's great. I bought the basic 40Gb version and all I've done in iTunes is tell it to manage the content automatically. I have no idea what it's actually copying to the AppleTV! My iTunes library consists of about 30Gb of music, over 150Gb of movies and about 50Gb of TV shows which are all available on the AppleTV as it streams over the LAN. I love it, I really do. I'm gradually ripping all my DVDs at a high bitrate using Handbrake into iTunes (tagging them with MetaX) and it's so much easier to sit in front of the telly scrolling through the library than it is to search through the physical boxes. The family think it's great as well and they know that if they want to watch something that's on the Mac and it's sleeping that they just need to hit a key and wake it up

Hiya,
I've got the 40gb AppleTV and it's great. To answer your question, I would say that the 40gb would suffice if you have a fast LAN/WiFi connection at home. You can sync your iTunes movies, music, podcasts etc to the device BUT it will also stream anything that's sitting in your iTunes, so long as iTunes is running. I would highly recommend VisualHub for encoding your video's as it is quick and will automatically add the files to iTunes for you.
Hope that helps. Nez.
