Something from the Wacom Bamboo range perhaps? You can pick up an A6 tablet for between £50 and £70 depending on whether you want standard (4:3) or wide (16:10) format. It makes sense to get the format that matches your screen size.
Unfortunately the higher spec Intuos 3 range is a bit out of your price range (by a factor of almost 2).

Cheers Cat,
I got the Bamboo Fun at £70 Apple store only had that of or one at £240 which was too much however the "fun" is little limiting think. Unfortunately my PC Wacom doesn't have drivers for my mac and I refuse to go back to Windows at home.

Sorry if this post is a bit too late... Alternatives to Wacom's tablets (with Mac drivers) include Aiptek ( www.aiptek.eu) and Genius ( www.geniusnet.com). Both these could allow a larger size tablet than Wacom for under £100 - although the user experience may not be as good. Depending upon which model of " PC Wacom" you have (I assume by PC Wacom you mean a serial port tablet), and which version of Mac OSX you're running then a USB to serial port adaptor combined with an open source driver called TabletMagic may do the trick ( www.thinkyhead.com/tabletmagic/index.php). I've used it in the past (mainly with Mac OSX 10.3) and found that although it didn't offer quite as much control as the Wacom USB drivers it still allowed a reasonable amount of functionality.
