Whilst I'm waiting for my Iphone to restore i thought i'd ask if anybody else has had problems updating their Iphone. Since i got mine about 2 months ago there have been 2 software updates and every time I click download and install as soon as it gets to the "Install phase" it crashes and I have to do a complete restore from scratch. Has anybody else come across this?
It occurred to me I was not using the sync cable that came with my Iphone but the cable from my Ipod so maybe that's where I am going wrong.
Any Thoughts?

Never had a problem with the iPod Touch and I've done all the updates. I use the cable that came with my iPod Mini, I've never even taken the one from the touch out of the box.
I bought an iPhone yesterday and updated that to 2.1 using the same cable, no problems.

Thanks for the reply Keith.
I cannot imagine what it is that is causing this, it's not too much of a problem because itunes backs up the iphone more of an inconvenience really. Hope you enjoy the iphone i think its a great piece of kit. I just wish there was the ability to use some of the space for data storage and also the ability to copy and paste text would be good.

I am currently under a lot of strain, this may explain to you why I'm conducting a conversation with myself on this thread.
OH MY GOD I'VE FINALLY LOST IT
