Just downloaded it. I think I will save it to savour over a pint at dinner time.

Well I am back from the pub now and have as always enjoyed my British Mac. I was somewhat surprised to hear that Will does not know what an avatar is. Wiki has this to say. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_avatar#On_Internet_forumsI have always pronounced the word as "Have a Tarr" but keeping the H silent. Paul has a particularly clever avatar that changes each time you refresh your screen. He reckons that it is down to clever code but I think it is Voodoo. I have two avatars, me with a guitar (which I don't actually play) and me with a sax (which I do play though pretty poorly) Cat

Also in BM78 Will was wondering where all the new folk are coming from. He speculated that a forum had collapsed. Well the truth is that many folk have come for the forum that is attached to the MacUser Magazine. That place has far from collapsed and is still populated by some of the nicest people on the planet. What is true is that the server that the forum is hosted on has problems and can run very slowly at times and at other times there are glitches that make the place a little frustrating to use. It is joked that the server is powered by a hamster who from time to time goes sick. Currently the hamster is down with something a little more troublesome than normal (he might have mumps) and so some of the regulars have been invited here so that they can get their fix of Mac based chat. I hope that they feel welcome and that the PCC can make up in some small part for the disruption in their normal community.

I hope that they feel welcome and that the PCC can make up in some small part for the disruption in their normal community. Thank you, Mr C. I have to say I find the company here very pleasant. So much so that this forum remains open in a tab in Safari all day, whereas the other place tends to annoy me so much it gets closed very often. Personally, I don't listen to the podcast. I tried it a couple of times, but found it really wasn't my thing. I prefer the forum experience, though, and the new magazine format looks interesting. So, I'm very please that Mr Cat invited me, and the others, to drop in. I will certainly stay around.

I wish Dave would quieten down those parrots. I listen while dozing off and got a shock when they started squawking.
Also, at first I thought Dave was saying his parents were eating the leads connecting to his Mac.
I later realised it was his Aussie accent and that it was in fact his brightly coloured birds who were responsible for the chewed cables.

The new iTunes podcast icon with the remembrance poppy is a nice touch.
