A few odd problems I've never had before and have no idea how to fix. 1. My MBP has started to sleep when out of battery power and for some reason I'm not getting the 'battery low' warning. This has happened a couple of times in the last week. It's definitely the battery as it can only be woken by plugging in and battery indicator shows it empty. I just want my warning back 2. When i reset safari i doesn't always seem to wipe everything. Some sites i can sometimes remain signed in. This doesn't always happen but does happen occasionally. As an example i can reset Safari, wait for it to load up my homepage, visit a site I've been on before and still be signed in. This has happened with dpreview.com, twitter.com & facebook.com It actually happened about an hour ago with dpreview. Any ideas? I've repaired disc permissions and it listed some fixes to 'flash' and thats all I've done. thanks

Can't actually solve your Energy Saver problems, but I might be able to point you a bit closer to the solution. I left my MBP asleep - but not shutdown over Christmas. I got back today to find that it had "hibernated" while asleep (lid closed). I now have it plugged in to the mains to recharge the battery - but I notice that according to the status indicator in the Menu Bar, I still have 0% power - and strangely, it will take 10 minutes to recharge it fully! I suspect that the Energy Saver Preferences may have become corrupted. It sounds as though your problems may be similar - I wonder if there is something in the troubled 10.5.6 update which causes this? Trouble is, as of right now, I don't know what to do about it! It's not like a normal app where you can just delete the preference file.

power warning seems to have sorted itself out, well, it now warns me when low. All I've done is repair permissions... thats my Mac maintenance. Thats all i know.
Safari history is still weird. Like I've said before, delete history by reseting Safari and visit a site later in the day to find I'm signed in AND it's not in my history. It's not important but is bugging the life out of me, driving me nuts to be honest. My Mrs has also found this to happen so I'm not imagining it and we don't have separate user accounts.

Okay, just noticed something with URL. Facebook is a 'problem' page with remembering history or behaving weird. Some times the URL begins with en-gb en-gb.facebook.com...

Just wondering if you manually deleted the history/cache/etc. in ~/Library, would it still leave you logged in?
