I dont like it.
Apparently you can buy an adapter to add the controls.

I dont like it. Apparently you can by an adapter to add the controls. This is my main gripe. You can buy adaptors or third party stuff, but this puts up the price quite considerably. Cat

New shuffle £59 - Old shuffle £31 ! Personally, I've never seen the point of a Shuffle. I want to carry far more than a couple of hundred songs. Don't want to have to sync it every time I'm fed up with what I'm listening to. It does seem that the vast majority of people who use a shuffle are either a/ at a gym or b/ don't care about music that much. Either way, the new earphones won't present too much of a problem for them. But like the MacBook Air, they do present enough of a problem for me to say that whilst it may well sell OK, I certainly won't be buying one. The other thing is that if I am listening to music, the last thing I want is for some disembodied voice synthesiser to talk all over the music!

If all the controls are on the cable then I don't see the point of the clip, I would just pop it in a pocket. Not being able to use my own earbuds would stop me buying one. I wonder how much the adapter costs.

I wonder how much the adapter costs. I have not looked. I prefer the look of the old one. I wouldn't mind a "voice over" feature on one of them. As long as all the controls were on the player.
