I would like to use my flac files (uncompressed sound files) in Itunes as opposed to having a dedicated player. Does anyone know of a plugin that would work.

I know of no plugin for itunes. I believe that there are two ways to go. 1) Look for an App. in the app store that will do it. Like thisThere may be others I have not looked. 2) Change the file format from FLAC to Apple Lossless. (ALAC) You can do this in one go using a batch tool like dbpoweramp. www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htmThat said I am no expert on this subject. Maybe one of the other guys can help out.

I don't use iTunes for my FLACs. Instead I use VLC and if I need to convert them I'll use an application called xACT which will make them into MP3s. Long winded, but it works.

Thanks for the pointers, so far the one that really looked good for me was the FLUKE program, but I can't get it to work. I will just have to keep looking, but as I have said thanks for the help.

Again thanks for the help, I need to use an airport express as well as an Ipod so Itunes is the only player I know that will do both jobs, hence using a plugin. I have used Songbird, it's a great player but does not do all I need. Again a big thanks for the help.
