Just a little poll to find out how you most often quit an application. (For the sake of this poll assume the app you want to quit is not the one currently open) (The ⌘ symbol is the command key on some keyboards it will be marked with an ) p.s. The second to last option should read. ⌘ + Tab, then click on the app and then "⌘ Q" (I can't alter it once posted)

The little red button in the top left. If not, I use Cmd+Q. Since getting a Mac, I've found that I still rarely use keyboard shortcuts, but when I'm using Windows I try to use them all the time to do the same things I would on this computer. For example, on Word for Mac, I would click File>Save, but on Windows I'd use Control+S and similar shortcuts. Strange...

The little red button in the top left. Just for our readers that don't know. The little red button does not quit, it just closes the open window. As Mr Stomps says though most of us probably don't quit that often these days. We leave the apps running.

^ Some apps quit when the red button is clicked. Their icon disappears from the dock, at least.

I can't vote. How I quit an app depends on where I am and what the app is doing.
Generally, I will Command-Q. Sometimes I will mouse to the application menu and choose Quit. Sometimes I will Command-Tab and hit Q. Sometimes, especially to force quit, I will hold the icon in the Dock and choose Quit.
So, put me down for one of everything, I think.
