At home, I have two iMacs and a Macbook Pro. I have three external hard drives. I also have various archive and backup DVDs. I have about 5 different email accounts - mostly IMap. I have an iDisk a Dropbox and a Mozy backup.
I'm doing a bit of spring cleaning at the moment and have noticed just how many - visible - duplicate files I have. Copy a file before editing it on a different machine. Transfer the iPhoto library to another disk etc etc etc.
I wonder what percentage of the world's silicone resources are actually wasted like this? I bet it's a lot.

I have hundreds of duplicate pictures on my hard drive. I know you can get those programs to get rid of them but I don't think i need to really..

Perhaps, However it is balanced out by the typical Windows user who has no backup at all.
