Just finished watching Fight Club. Incredible film, even though it's very gritty. I bought the 2-disc special edition off Amazon for 79p - Well worth it. AND it's like a different (but very good) film watching it the second time - Fantastic value!

Taking a morning off to have coffee out with an old friend is a really nice thing to do.

Why do I feel really uncool and slightly ashamed when I find myself enjoying country music….. dirty even….

Why do I feel really uncool and slightly ashamed when I find myself enjoying country music….. dirty even…. As someone who had lived and worked in the southern states of the US, I have been lost my inhibitions about enjoying good classic country music. Though, having said that, the likes of Garth Brooks, Shania, Tim McGraw et al should be avoided at all costs

It's Bluegrass/Country stuff, not my thing really but maybe you'll like it. He'll be happy that I done some promotion for him. ;D

I scored a dealio on a new camera today. As you may/may not know, I have a trip to Australia planned for August this year. I went to Honduras in 2008 on a similar trip, and really missed my good camera while using the older, smaller compact model my Dad has. So I thought I would buy a small compact camera, with loads of zoom (10x or more) and reasonable amount of pixels. I was looking at about £200 spend at least. Then, today I saw a Fuji FinePix S5700 preowned for £65. I tried it out, and it is pretty much as new. Obviously a very careful previous owner. I bought it. 7.1 MP 10x Optical Zoom All the features of a big camera. I already had the model above this, a FinePix S5800, and I love it. It's exactly the same except the 800 has 8.0 MP instead of 7.1. Well worth £65. S5700, one I bought today: S5800, my older (but technically newer model):

Interesting little trick I found out today: Go to any YouTube video, click play and then hold down the Left Arrow on your keyboard for about 3-5 seconds. Release it and you can play a game of Snake, like o the old Nokia phones. Pointless. But I like it.

I just transferred some work from my memory drive to my home computer. There was a virus .exe file on there. It has been plugged into the uni computers in the library. My iMac laughs in the face of your viruses. *I know it was a virus because I Googled the name

Does the iPhone have a similar app to BBM? A lot of my friends use Blackberries and are always using BBM. It's basically text messages but in a chat-room format.
So it would be great if there was an iPhone BBM thing where everyone could talk to each other. Like AIM/iChat.
Before I knew anything about BBM I thought it was just free texts between Blackberry users, which it kind of is, but it's between anyone in the 'room' rather than just two people. I always thought it was stupid how they were trying to push BBM as a selling point/feature when it is just texting.

Both my teenagers live in BBM in a room with all their mates, in fact that is the reason why they don't have or want any other kind of smartphone as it is proprietary software and only works on Blackberry devices. As far as I am aware no other smartphone offers the same functionality
