Took longer than expected ... A. Rubbish broadband, 4 hour download (in theory - I fell asleep) B. not enough disk space for backup, so aborted the upgrade C. Sorted that. Thankfully didn't have to redownload D. Firmware Installed ok, but I chose to start using iCloud for backups. So then it seemed to take an age to do the final stage - restore the apps and settings. I think everything was going up from Mac to cloud and back to iPad.
Anyway, sorted. Now to see if it was worthwhile.

So point d is my reason for posting. Watch out for that.

And I forgot to mention the iTunes and security patch updates.

I installed iOS5 on an iPhone4 and an iPad2. No problems at all thankfully and iCloud has worked without issue too. I haven't set it to backup my documents to the cloud though - they are going to stay nice and local where I know who has access to them!

iPhone 3Gs upgraded. Not had much time to play with it yet. My apps are now all over the place instead of being organised as they were before. It will take me ages to get my head round the new stuff.
