Can anybody help please?
I cant seem to get iCal to schedule the events I want.
I need to create a reoccurring event once every 4 weeks but not on the same date every month. i.e. every 4th Friday.
Seems the options in iCal dont allow for this.
Any suggestions?
Cheers!

I don't know if you absolutely can't do it but I suspect that's the case.
I'm thinking about investing into BusyCal since iCal is so limited so would be interested in people's thoughts here as well!

Adding my two pennyworth for what its worth. I use Google calendar. I think it is much better, can be accessed from any device, anywhere. I have even set it to send useful reminders to my mobile phone. I think it automatically adds entries to iCal but that is of little concern to me. Setting up recurring events is simplicity itself. Do give it a try.

Thanks for the advice !
BusyCal does look like it's pretty nifty, but it would have to be very impressively nifty for £35!!!
I'll have a look to see if the Google option works for me - Free is always good!
Saying that though Fantastical always gets good reviews - I wonder if there is enough functionality behind it's flashy front end ?

Whilst I agree that iCal is limited, you actually can do what you want to do in iCal. - Create a new event - in the <edit> pane, select repeat - monthly, then you will be offered the choice of <Each> which allows you to choose the same date or <On the> where you can select fourth Friday or whatever.
