I've had my Macbook for just over 3 years now. as is the way with Apple products, it still serves me well and I'm more than happy with its performance However, it is a 250Gb model and i am now in the situation where i only have 15GB of storage left Yesterday i only had 1.5Gb but a bit of spring cleaning gave me some breathing space I'm not flush with cash at the moment and buying a new macbook is not the ideal situation, especially when, memory aside, my current macbook is working fine My question is this, in the interim could i buy a Time capsule and use it as a back up device but also as a place to put all of my music, pictures etc. I'd like then to be able to clear all these files off of my macbook and then access the Time capsule when i want to play or view the various files I also have an iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and Apple TV and want to carry on home sharing and streaming amongst the various devices
Any advice much appreciated!

If you want to share information around all your devices then a NAS device is your best bet, if you are really strapped for cash then get a 2TB western digital live, which will be around £120-£140 and hard wire it to your router using the NIC. Cheaper than a Time capsule and still Mac compatible
I have a MyBook World and it works fine with all my Mac's and the works Windows Laptop using the wireless in my router

Thanks! I'd prefer to buy a good storage back up device even if it was up to £3-400 thats still preferable to forking out a grand right now for a Macbook pro or iMac. I assume the NAS device is simple to install? I've had a look on Amazon and the 2TB looks a good price The big question i have is if i put all of my music, video and pictures onto this could i then delete them from my Macbook thus freeing up space? Thanks again for the reply

Yes installing a NAS is a piece of cake. Once installed copy everything and then point your apps at the NAS>
I have my iTunes pointing to my NAS as my MacBook harddisk isnt big enough for my collection (currently running at 350GB) the initial load of itunes is slower but once loaded you dont notice over 802.11N wireless connection
