A bit pricey, but having waited for a couple of months I took the plunge: www.themu.co.uk/I like it, though might have a small issue with it charging the iPad. It gets quite hot and cuts out after 5 minutes of charging (then goes back on after a bit). Maybe the iPad is too much for it. I have emailed them to ask. Attachments:

The Mu supports up to 1 Amp current (5 Watts), and with a bit of research I think the iPad may well draw 2 whilst charging, so yes I think that's the answer. I'll see how I get on with it - still like it for sure.

They replied to my message today. They are working on a version that will charge devices with a higher draw - should be available later this year. They offered to give me a refund, but I've decided to keep it anyway!

Well I guess that means that they are a decent company. The gadget is fine for iPods and iPhones I guess.
