Hi, I am currently using the trial of MobileMe, I have until 11th April, after this it is £59 per year. I am looking for a general consensus on whether it is good value for money. I like the gallery pictures idea and have used this, posting some pictures of an event through iPhoto and some friends adding to this, but other than this I am struggling to justify the cost. Am I missing smoething?

As I understand it there is little in Mobile Me that can't be replicated in other free ways. What it gives you for your money is a very simple and integrated solution. It is good for someone like me who is a bit of a computer novice. I expect someone like "the chimp" to find clever ways to get the same thing done without the cost. CC

Don't be paying the full price for it, you can pick up a mobileme subscription through eBay for a lot cheaper than the UK price. I did it when I first subscribed and I'll do it again when it's up for renewal. I also did the same thing with the Applecare for my Mac Pro and because the exchange rate was so good at the time I saved a fortune. Here is Mobileme for less than fifty quid.
