You should have had it by now, it was all finished, I came to review it and noticed the intro track had gone so I recorded it, I then noticed that all of the vocals track was missing! Everything else is in place but no vocal! Five hours it took to record - all gone!!! I'll re-do it over the next couple of nights, I was a little bit p****d off to say the least!

Well it's up and running!
After the break of a month I thought I've done better British Mac's in the past, but I suppose it will take a couple of weeks to get back into the swing of things!
Sorry about 'At the River' breaking into the news at a rather strange moment, and also Garage Band stopping me at about 1hr 9mins, I think it probably had had enough!
40 out on Sunday.

Listened to half the News section so far. Will, you seem to have got Steve Jobs and Bill Gates mixed up at least twice - Bulmer is Gates' friend, not Jobs'!
As for Garage Band, you reached it's default maximum length - you need to adjust the beats per minute:
Garageband 3 doesn't record more than 1999 beats (GB2: 999). Since in your case the beats don´t matter, you can lower the tempo to the minimum (40 bpm) to get a maximum recording time of 3:18:48.
To set the tempo, do one of the following:-
When you create a new project, drag the Tempo slider in the New Project dialog. Click the tempo in the time display, then drag the slider that appears to the new tempo. Click the Track Info button to open the Track Info pane, click Master Track, then drag the Tempo slider to the new tempo. A project can have only one tempo, which lasts for the entire length of the project.

Points re Apple TV:-
40GB hard drive in the Apple TV is enough as you are meant to be using a much larger (e.g. 1TB) hard drive as the drive that holds all your movies, TV shows and music. You only need the Apple TV's 40GB if you don't have a wired connection between your Mac/PC + large hard drive and the Apple TV unit or you don't have 802.11n. In that case, if you are relying on 802.11g, you may want to transfer the movies or TV shows you plan to watch onto the Apple TV so that you get no break up of video.
You'll get the best effect from the Apple TV if you buy the new Airport Extreme Base Station and make sure the Apple TV or other 802.11n devices are the only wireless devices running on it - i.e. keep your old 802.11g router and put older laptops on that router.
You do need a TV with either an HDMI, DVI or Component connection and the TV must be able to show Enhanced Definition (480p).
Re Network Attached Storage:-
Just get the new Airport Extreme Base Station and connect any USB 2.0 hard drive to it. I'll be doing a review/tutorial on it soon.
Automated back-up:-
ChronoSync or Super Duper if you can't wait for Leopard.

Re iCal, there may be an application that can do what is needed as all Apple Help says is:- • To change the days of the week or the number of hours that appear in the main calendar view, choose iCal > Preferences, and make your choices from the Week and Day pop-up menus in the General pane. For example, you can choose to only see the hours from 9AM to 5PM on Monday through Friday. • To change the range of time in the main calendar view that is not shaded (representing your "normal" day), choose iCal > Preferences. In the General pane, choose the times you want to appear in white (not shaded) from the "Day starts at" and "Day ends at" pop-up menus. All times outside that range are shaded. I think you'll need Apple Script or an application to amend the timeline, especially if this is needed every two weeks.

Gutted - just read on the show notes for Episode 40 that the British Icon for this episode was to be Bottom. One of my all-time favourite programmes!
