42 is go! The Show Notes / St. British Mac tutorials / and Blog have all moved from the old .Mac site to the britishmac domain.
The website pages are very basic but will be refreshed with some new looks over the next few weeks.
Cheers,
Will.

Hi Will. Am a new convert to British Mac, having only recently discovered it in the depths of iTunes. Brilliant work and mega good effort! One thing I missed on the last ‘cast and couldn’t see in the show notes: you mentioned somewhere that had loads of mac forums/blogs, in particular info/views about decent mac laptop bags etc. Could you tell me what site these are on? Many thanks, and keep up the good work – in an ocean of American orientated mac ‘casts, it’s brilliant to have one specifically from a blighty point of view! Cheers, Martin.

Crocks, I'm not sure which forums Will was referring to, however, if I may add my tuppence worth: As someone who basically travels for a living, decent luggage is one of the tools of the trade. Now obviously there are loads of great brands out there, but my personal favourite is Samsonite. They may not be very cheap, but they are fairly priced given the quality of their stuff. Head on over to www.samsonite.com to check out their range of stuff. Any decent luggage shop or big department store should be able to get whatever you need. My other recommendation for keeping your laptop in top condition are: Sleevz and Screensavrz from radtech.us. The links are below. www.radtech.us/Products/SleevzNotebooks.aspxwww.radtech.us/Products/NotebookScreensavrz.aspxI bought one of each back in Oct 2004 when I got my 12" Powerbook G4 and can say that they're worth every penny. There is not a scratch on my laptop, and the screen still looks like new! BTW, it looks like Radtech also have a nice range of laptop cases too. Cheers Gav

Hi Will Interesting to hear my recommendations on 'Desert Island Apps'. You referred to my recommendation of Scrivener as the tool for getting your novel out. I came across another app today called Avenir. I got a free copy of an older version with my MacWorld mag and this may be the other half of your tools for that novel. This gives the framework, with persons, chapters, etc and consequently provides a database for the whole 'novel'. The copy with MacWorld is free and looks good and there is a MacWorld rebate for the upgrade to the current version. Worth a look I think? Here is the website for returnself.com/ Avenir. Ron
