What do you think they would do with it?? The cynic in me is saying that they don't want it. However a few months of negotiations will buy Apple mega publicity. It is about raising profile. JoT has in interesting take on it though.

This would be cool if its true. They can give twitter some Mac Gloss (or aluminum) and I bet they would do something pretty darn cool with mobile me.

It seems crazy to me. But then Twitter seems crazy to me.

I really hope not. Twitter seems almost as sad as Facebook in my eyes. Why would you add a celebrity as a 'friend' or follow/stalk them on Twitter? I also kind of wonder whether anyone actually cares what I'm doing... But then again, I also regularly update my Blog to an audience of no one. Nyeh.

Twitter is not any more sad than reading about famous people in the paper or magazines. Most of us at one time or another have taken an interest in pop stars, sports stars or stars of stage and screen. If that is sad then most of the population is sad. There is also the networking side of Twitter. To know what you colleges are doing when you are part of a busy team can be a great advantage. Organising a night out, letting folk know what pub you are in can be done on twitter too. Don't forget the family side of Twitter. If your kids have left home it is a nice way to keep up to date with what is going on with the small doings of your offspring. This is especially true if one of them is ill. Obviously you would not make this "open" but for family members it could be very helpful. Cat
