Use a free program called XLD to convert it to ALAC and then copy that to itunes. FLAC doesnt work in itunes and ipods.

I use MacFlac.. www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/11650Works great for me..mounts as a disk image..possibly not ideal, but it works.. the only anomaly is that it starts with...mac needs to install binaries...then some msg about something going wrong...then all is ok.. You just drag and drop the FLAC files into the window that opens and conversion begins...plays fine in iTunes. Hope this is of some help.

I had to Google flac. There really are a lot of formats out there.
The good news, as you get older they all sound the same.

I haven't tried this, but have you got HandBrake? It converts almost anything into anything, and I use it all the time for videos and stuff. handbrake.fr/
