It's been a while since we've seen many piccies. How about everyone posts their photo that they have taken themselves in the past month. not the best, just the one that maybe makes them smile the most, was an experiment, means something etc Heck - I thought of this 'cos i saw Heather saying taking a good photo was one of her favourite things... now I'll have to find one.... Second shot with Autostitch - nothing great but i enjoyed it (iPhone 3G not GS)

Are there any good Panorama/photo stitching software out for Mac? I tried Calico or something but it left a watermark all over my pictures.

Demo software often leaves a watermark. It's so you can try it, work out if you like it, and then PAY for it. Once it's PAID for, the watermark is no longer required. :-) Here's my fave so far... Clicky.

What effects are on that? I like he blurred-ness. Effects? It's a prime focal length 50mm lens on my Canon EOS400D. The aperture was f/1.8, as wide open as it can go, so the depth of field was the leaf and nothing else. That's why everything else is blurred - it's out of focus. Aside from a little exposure and vibrancy adjustment, that's just how it came out of the camera.

When I were a lad we had no effects, just a Zenith SLR you could crack skulls with and still take pictures afterwards! Actually, this one stuck out for me on your Flickr pages exactly because of the skill in the actual taking of the picture rather than any post-processing.

I enjoy post-processing images, but there's a good deal of satisfaction in the craft of making a picture that comes out of the camera right first time. I began my photosnapticating hobby with a Zenith, too. Funny old world.

Yep - those were the days. Film was so expensive you took great care in composing your picture and getting it as right as possible first time. Manual cameras so you had to understand what you were doing. I used to be able to look at a scene and make a very good stab at exposure without the use of a light meter (couldn't do it now!)
I think I drifted away from photography when I got a Nikon F90 and started using the Program modes....

Thought I'd contribute to this thread by answering my own question... I found a program that leaves a watermark, but its only at the bottom so you can crop it out in iPhoto. ;D Anyway, here's my image, not taken recently, but 'edited' recently. The program is called DoubleTake. The image I have is too big for an attachment (3.6MB), so I'll link it to my Dropbox Public folder. Enjoy! dl.getdropbox.com/u/1979200/Untitled.jpg

Ooh, that's nice.
If you don't mind, I've downloaded it and I'm going to use it as a split desktop across both my screens.
